Earlier stage of printer people only can print black and white print after that color printing technology introduces the color printing. By this revolution the technology now introduced 3D printing. This technology becomes more popular in a short period.
3D Printing

What is a 3D printer?

The meaning of 3D is three dimensions. 3D printing is determined based on the methods of printing 2D printing.  In fact, the printer most 3D printer conversion with another axis is flat. Therefore, the process is the same as in the case of the original 2D printer.

As 2D printer the horizontal X and Y-axis movement, the process can be moved to the internal tape drives and motors. With the flat of his equipment, you will be able, each layer of the 3D objects at the same level of detail 2D print. The vertical Z is allows you to print 3D print.

Methods:
There are some methods of 3D printer for printing the object:
1) Selective Laser Melting or (SLM);
2) Selective Laser Sintering or (SLS);
3) Stereo lithography or (SLA);
4) Fused Deposition Modeling or (FDM);
5) Laminated Object Manufacturing or (LOM)
6) Electron Beam Melting or (EBM) and etc.

The method depends on which industries are going print or produce printing. Now lots of engineers are trying to improve methods of 3D printing.

Uses
Usually architects and engineers use professional and personal 3-D printers. Also Designers, artists, inventors, students, hobbyists and entrepreneurs use it in office, home, classroom or workshop settings to rotate digital concepts into prototypes, models and yet ready-to-use products, such as plastic toys and jewelry. Nowadays component manufacture and prototyping are also using 3D printers.

Advantages of 3D printing:

Faster Response Time
Reduced Costs
Excellent exterior Finish
High stability
Easy Machining
Functional Models and Look Very Similar to the Real Ones

Disadvantages of 3D printing:

Size Limitations
Sometimes print looks unfinished
Printer ink Cost is quite high

3D printing technology is now improving within a short period lots of impossible will possible in near future.

7 Smart Ways to Reduce Printing Costs

Cost of printing sometimes seems ridiculous especially if you have to print a lot. After facing such problem, was in search for reducing cost on my printing. After brainstorming a lot, I have found ways to save on my printing. Here are some of them that will help you to save on your printing. When you have to print something for one reason or the other, keep these tips in mind.

Preview before Printing

Don’t blindly click on the print button. Preview first. It will save wasting a ton of ink and paper. If you don’t preview, you can end up with document ends on a single line, or ends up being unreadable. By previewing, you can avoid this from happening. Don’t hurry, just spend a few seconds and print exactly what you want.

Print Only What You Need

Print just the document or portion of a document that you need. Don’t print the full document whether you need a single paragraph from the whole document. Every application has a feature: the ability to print just a selection of text. Use it.

Print Multiple Selections

Don’t print a single selection at a time. Multiple areas on the page and "clip" them for later printing on a single page. It will save a serious amount of paper if you often need to print addresses or contact information from a number of places at once.

Print Both Sides of a Sheet

It is a simpler way to save on paper. It works well for PowerPoint presentations. In such presentation bullet points can usually be easily read even with the smaller view. While printing, just choose Handouts from the "Print what" drop-down. Then just choose the number of slides per page you want. Printing only in gray scale is a good way to save on ink. You can also do the same thing while printing Microsoft Word's document. Modern printer also comes with options that will allow you to choose the duplex option.

Use Draft Mode

While printing from different website, you don’t need to print in high or even medium quality for simple things like driving directions or articles you want to read offline. Rather, set Fast Draft as the default option in the printer properties. So you can send a long document to the printer in regular mode. While you will have a long document in the draft mood, print the full document at once.

Print to PDF

Print documents to environmentally friendly PDF files rather than to paper that can easily be emailed around. You can choose from a long list of options including doPDF, PDFCreator, or CutePDF for Windows users, CUPS-PDF for Linux, and even though Mac OS X users have "Save as PDF" baked right in.

Refill Cartridges by Yourself

Purchase inkjet cartridge refill kits and bulk printer ink. It will cost a lot less than the cost of a new print cartridge. You can save some extra bucks of the cost of a new inkjet cartridge each time you refill. Though the chance of failure in refilling used cartridges but the is worth to take for the substantial cost saving. If you afraid to refill your cartridge you can look out this how to use your ink refill kit properly.

Finally if you little bit smart you can save your printing cost.
